Pick Tax Authority window
Purpose
Use this window to search for and select a tax authority for a transaction. Tax authorities are maintained on the Tax Authorities window.
To access this window
Complete one of the following to access this window.
- Press F6 in the Tax Authority box on any AIMsi window.
- Press F6 in the Tax box on the Approval window.
- Press F6 in the Tax Auth box on the Proposal window.

Look for |
Enter your search criteria. The grid automatically moves to the tax authority matching the value as you type. The information you enter in the box changes based on the currently selected column in the grid. For example, if the sort order is by tax location, this box label is Look for Tax Loc and you should enter the identifying location code for your tax authority. If, however, the sort order is by ZIP Code, this box label is Look for Zip Code and you should enter the customer's ZIP Code. |

grid columns A right angle bracket (>) identifies the column currently used to sort the grid. This grid may be sorted by Tax Loc, Authority, City, County, State, or Zip Code. |

Tax Loc |
Displays the 1-3 character tax code of the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by tax location. |

Authority |
Displays the name set up for the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by tax authority. |

City |
Displays the city set up for the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by city. |
|
County |
Displays the county set up for the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by county. |

State |
Displays the state set up for the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by state. |

Zip Code |
Displays the ZIP Code set up for the tax authority. Click the column heading to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by ZIP Code. |

Tax 1 |
Displays the Tax Rate 1 value set up for the tax authority. |

Tax 2 |
Displays the Tax Rate 2 value set up for the tax authority. |
